Its official – I’ve made it passed the 1 week and I’m still here, Holly is here and we’re still both fine and dandy! Using the real nappies has really been much easier than I ever imagined. I now know what nappy to use and when. I get the morning nappy ready before I go to bed and then first thing when Holly wakes up its on! I then get the next one ready at that time so I don’t have any fuss if it’s needed earlier than expected! Washing has been fine too and at the beginning when I questioned if they would dry ok on my airer, well they have. Some quicker than others (these tend to be the ones that come apart) but as a whole I always have enough if some are still drying out. Dry pailing the nappies has been much better and if I were to use the reuseables all the time I would obviously be doing a more regular wash and they wouldn’t need to stand about for so long. I’ve had comments from friends on the trendy designs some of them have especially the giraffe pattern one so they look good too! For me, I have preferred the ones that are all in ones, waterproof layer included and are one size (poppers fix together to make the nappy smaller). But I like convenience!
If you’re undecided about using reuseables then this has been a fab way of deciding if it’s for you or not. Still plucking up the courage to do the t towelling one though, I’ll let you know if I do!!! Maybe tomorrow……;)
